The Government of Belarus with the support of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development is organizing an investment conference on Belarus at the EBRD Headquarters.

Opening remarks to be delivered by EBRD President Sir Suma Chakrabarti.

The official delegation of Belarus is expected to comprise the following officials:

H.E. Mr Dmitry Krutoy, Minister of Economy, EBRD Governor for Belarus

H.E. Mr Maksim Yermalovich, Minister of Finance

H.E. Mr Aliaksei Auramenka, Acting Minister of Transport and Communications

H.E. Mr Sergei Kalechits, Deputy Governor of the National Bank and

Mr Alexander Yaroshenko, Head of the Administration, Great Stone Industrial Park.

The plenary session which is to bring together representatives of the government, EBRD and business community will cover issues related to macroeconomic and business environment in Belarus as well as trade and investment opportunities including in the transport, infrastructure, finance, IT, high-tech and manufacturing sectors.

Following the plenary session and a networking lunch, there will be two panel discussions dedicated to:

1. Presentation of the M-10 Highway Public–Private Partnership project to be implemented in Belarus. The tender process and all the aspects of the project will be presented to be followed by Q&A session and one-to-one meetings for the investors, if required.

2. Presentation of Great Stone Industrial Park which is a special economic zone to promote businesses foreign and domestic businesses including in mechanical and automotive engineering, electronics, optics, fine chemistry, bio-tech, pharmaceuticals, medical equipment and other types of innovative manufacturing and R&D.

Representatives of the Industrial Park’s Administration and Development Company as well as resident companies will shed light on key features of the Park including:
- what it means to be a resident of the Park;
- which business opportunities this creates including tariff-free exports to the Eurasian Economic Union and proximity to the EU markets;
 — what role is assigned to Great Stone within the Chinese Government’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) and how your business can become a part of this transcontinental development project.
