The Belarusian State University has become a member of the international COMPASS

The Belarusian State University has become a member of the international COMPASS project which is supported by the UK’s Global Challenges Research Fund.

The launch ceremony of the project was held on 22nd May at the BSU. The project’s participants are the University of Kent (the coordinator), Cambridge University, Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy, Belarusian State University, Tajik National University, and University of World Economy and Diplomacy in Uzbekistan.

The aim of the project is to expand knowledge about the region, as well as to support a number of major initiatives, such as “Minsk dialogue”, “Gender and education” in Baku, “Eurasian identity” in Dushanbe, “Silk road” in Tashkent, “Caspian energy security” in Baku and others.  There will be prepared joint scientific and educational publications as well as courses for conducting joint master programmes.
