Belarus — UK Startup Roadshow & Pitch Night

14.02.2018

On 12-13 February 2018 8 startup finalists of the BelBiz Battle 2017 came to London to meet local UK tech scene. This London roadshow was  organised by British Embassy in Belarus, Rutech, and startup-hub Imaguru.

Belarus has been on the tech radar for some time now. First, a video filter app MSQRD was acquired by Facebook in 2016 and later in 2017 Google acquired AIMatter, maker of the Fabby computer vision app. Finally, just before New Year the President of Belarus signed a set of laws “On Digital Economy Development”. Adoption of this law makes Belarus the first world's jurisdiction with the overall legal regulation of businesses based on blockchain technology.
