The Investment Outlook Session of Belarus in EBRD

On May 12, 2016 the Investment Outlook Session of Belarus was held within the framework of the 25th EBRD Annual Meeting and Business Forum in London to brief investors on the economic potential of our country.
The representatives of the Belarusian Government – Mr Maksim Ermalovich, First Deputy Minister of Finance, Mr Sergei Kalechits, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the National Bank, and Ms Natallia Nikandrava, Director of the National Agency of Investment and Privatization took part in the panel discussion.
The Ambassador of Belarus in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Sergei Aleinik has joined the Delegation alongside with the representatives of the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Transport, the National Bank, as well as the state banks.
The EBRD’s experience of working in Belarus was introduced to the audience by Mr Francis Delaey, Head of EBRD Country Office in Minsk. The representatives of “Kronospan” company shared their experience too, showing the opportunities to implement huge investment projects with the support of EBRD in Belarus. According to the speakers, the most favourable investment conditions have been created in Belarus.
The event was largely attended by the participants of the Annual Meeting and Business Forum. The members of Belarusian Delegation were interviewed by Reuters, Bloomberg and Emerging Europe.
