AITO Familiarisation Visit to Belarus (13-17 March 2019)

Belarus remains relatively unknown as a tourism destination. But day by day, it becomes more visible as an attractive holiday option.  Just recently Independent.co.uk — ranked Minsk amongst the best cities to visit in 2019.

It is our pleasure to inform you about a forthcoming Familiarization Tour to Belarus hosted by the National Tourism Board of Belarus, UK Embassy in Minks, Association of tourism industry of Belarus, Embassy of Belarus in the UK in association with AITO.

Dates: 13-17 March 2019

Number of participants:

              10 places, fully sponsored by the National Tourism Board and UK Embassy in Minsk;

              Unlimited number of non-sponsored colleague/partner places (£600 per person).

Focus:
Get acquainted with Belarus and its tourism industry. 
Organise UK fan-tours to cheer on TeamGB during the 2nd European Games.

British travel companies will be introduced to the Belarusian incoming and outbound tour operators, industry decision makers, including members of the Government, leadership of the National Tourism Board and Association of Tourism Industry, CEOs of tour operating companies and market experts.

Subsidized places: FOC
Sponsored places will be available subject to the following conditions:

·         Maximum number of FOC places: 10

·         Senior decision makers only (MD, Company Director, Director, senior business development manager).

·         One sponsored place per company. Second and next places from the same company will not sponsored places (see below — attendance fee £600pp).

·         Utilisation of designated Belavia direct flights from/to London especially for this tour.
You may book another airline/date at your own expense.  
 

Non-sponsored colleague/partner places: £600 pp

·         Places are not limited. The cost of the tour includes:

·         Accommodation: Standard single room at a 4 or 5* Hotel (TBC)

·         All meals

·         All transfers

·         Full-time group guide/interpreter

·         Airfare (£230 will be discounted, if another air flight will be booked by the company).


Highlights of the Visit:

·           Visits to the “Mir castle and Nesvizh palace” (UNESCO heritage, landmarks);

·           Hotels visiting (with indoor SPA facilities)

·           ECO-tourism, cultural, industrial, sports tourism products

·           B2B matching and networking session with local tour operators.

·           Meeting with the leadership of the Ministry of Sports and Tourism, Association of Tourism Industry, National Tourism Board

·           Reception for UK delegation on behalf of H.E. Ambassador of the United Kingdom Ms Fionna Gibb

This is a unique opportunity to learn about Belarus and establish new contacts. The Organizers will do everything they can to make this visit effective and successful for each participant, as well as to show the many hidden beauties of friendly and hospitable Belarus!

18.00 — 18.30 — Check in to the hotel

18.30 — 19.30 — Dinner

March 14 (Thursday):

07.30 — 08.30 — Breakfast

08.30 — 10.00 — Transfer to Mir Castle

10.00 — 12.00 — Excursion around the castle complex “Mir”

12.00 — 12.30 — Transfer to Niasvizh

12.30 — 14.30 — Business lunch with the representatives of the tourist industry of Belarus. Presentation of the Belarusian tourism market

14.30 — 16.30 — City tour, visit to the National Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve “Nesvizh”

16.30 — 18.30 — Transfer to the farmstead

18.30 — 21.00 — National Belarusian dinner


March 15 (Friday):

09.30 — 12.00 — Minsk city tour (with a tour of the SPA-hotels)

12.00 — 13.00 — Lunch

13.00 — 14.40 — Transfer to the Berezinsky Biosphere Reserve ECO-tourism

14.40 — 18.00 — Tour of the Reserve

18.00 — 19.40 — Transfer to Minsk

19.40 — Free time

20.00 Bar-hopping tour (for those, who are interested)

March 16 (Saturday):

08.00 — 09.00 — Breakfast

09.30 — 10.30 — Transfer to the factory of mining trucks in Zhodino  (on the way, presentation of the features of industrial tourism in Belarus)

10.30 — 12.30 — Tour of the factory of mining trucks “BELAZ: in the world of giants” (Industrial tourism)

12.30 — 13.30 — Lunch

13.30 — 14.30 — Transfer to Minsk

14.30 — 16.30 — Meeting at the Ministry of Sport and Tourism with the representatives of the tourism industry of Belarus

16.30 — 18.00 — Free time, transfer to the National Academic Bolshoi Opera and Ballet Theater of the Republic of Belarus

19.00 — 21.20 — Visit to the theater. Opera “La Boheme”

21.20 – Return transfer to hotel, free time

March 17 (Sunday):

06.30 — 08.00 — Breakfast, check out from the hotel

08.10 — 09.10 — Transfer to the airport
