Bilateral agreements

Currently, the following bilateral agreements are signed between the Republic of Belarus and the United Kingdom:

♦ Agreement between the Government of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics and the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland on Cooperation in the Field of Medicine and Public Health (Moscow, 17 February 1975).

♦ Convention between the Government of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics and the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland on Eliminating Double Taxation of Income and of the Increment of Property Value (London, 31 July 1985).

♦ Exchange of Notes between the Government of the Republic of Belarus and the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland in Respect of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations (27 January, 1992).

♦ Joint Declaration by the Republic of Belarus and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (London, 12 October 1993).

♦ Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Belarus and the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland for the Promotion and Protection of Investments (London, 1 March 1994).

♦ Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Belarus and the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland on Economic Co-operation (London, 1 March 1994).

♦ Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of the Republic of Belarus and the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Concerning Co-operation in the Field of Combatting Drug Trafficking, Organized Crime and International Terrorism (London, 13 March 1995).

♦ Agreement for Cooperation between the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Belarus and the Ministry of Defense of the United Kingdom (London, 1995).

♦ Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Belarus and the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland on Co-operation in the Fields of Education, Science and Culture (Minsk, 25 July 1995).

♦ Convention between the Government of the Republic of Belarus and the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland for the elimination of double taxation with respect to taxes on income and on capital and the prevention of tax evasion and avoidance (Minsk, 26 September 2017) – due to enter into force as soon as the relevant legal procedures have been completed by Belarus and the UK. The above USSR-UK Convention of 31 July 1985 will be terminated thereupon.
