Town twinning

The twin towns of Minsk, Gomel and Svetlogorsk are Nottingham, Aberdeen and the district of Mendip.

The priority areas of interregional cooperation are healthcare, education, environmental protection, greening and landscaping, cultural and youth exchanges, social and humanitarian cooperation aimed at overcoming the consequences of the Chernobyl nuclear accident.

Contacts at the municipal level are an additional channel for promoting of exports and attracting investments to the Republic of Belarus.
